A Victorian Garden: Strawberries

The Urban Naturalist is always trying to 'green' our living spaces. We started with windows and bookshelves but we've also let larger plants and creeping vines slowly consume our kitchen and living rooms. In fact, it might be time to limit our green plant addiction. It's starting to look a little like a stoner's paradise. Low light. Soft furniture. Black light posters. And a decent pseudo-fantasy book collection. Well, admittedly, most of that isn't true, but we're trying to add some more unusual living colors to our apartment. Surprisingly, Strawberries grow very well in apartment settings. Choose a nice window with a decent amount of sun, use a deep box, and get red alpine berry seeds. These Strawberries are ever-bearing, so you'll get multiple crops. Grow them, add some red to your windowsill, and start listening to Strawberry Alarm Clock. The Urban Naturalist loves to turn you on.

Oooh! What delightful little strawberries! If I didn't kill every plant I come into contact with, I'd grow a little crop of strawberries myself. Alas.

Also, you have fantastic taste in music and an all around lovely blog. I think I must add you to my little blog roll. Yes yes, I must.
